Children’s Festival of Flowers at Jefferson Market Garden

Date and Time: Saturday, May 3, 2008, 11am-2pm
(Rain date: Sunday, May 4, 2008)

Held at the junction of Greenwich Avenue, Sixth Avenue and 10th Street in Greenwich Village.

A celebration of spring, flowers, and community. This free annual event will allow children the opportunity to enjoy a spring afternoon on the garden’s beautiful center lawn. Children of all ages will enjoy crafts, activities, entertainment and giveaways.

Located in Greenwich Village, Jefferson Market Garden is one of the most beautiful community gardens in New York City. A treasured oasis of flowering plants, shrubs, and shade trees, the garden opens with the Children’s Festival of Flowers in May and remains open to the public through October, weather permitting, Tuesday-Sunday afternoons.
