Sustainability Practices at Jefferson Market Garden

• All products used in the garden are organic or natural.
  
  
• Our feeding program utilizes compost teas and organic microbes for the trees.
  
  
• We have instituted ongoing composting. Most green and wood waste is composted and re-introduced into the garden.
  
  
• To reduce our carbon footprint, we have retired our gas powered lawnmower. We now employ a state-of-the-art electric mower.
  
  
• When the Spring flowering bulbs are lifted following bloom, we make them available to the community to plant in their own gardens. Recycling at its best!
