History and Garden Tours
Jack Intrator, the official historian for the Garden, provides special tours on the history of the Garden and its neighborhood. He can often be found volunteering at the Garden Gate where he enjoys sharing his collections of historic pictures and stories. In addition, Jack is available for individual and group tours by appointment.

Special Events for Children
The Garden presents educational, musical and crafts events, made possible by a grant for children and family programing by ConEdison.
Although programing was reduced this past season because of the pandemic, you can enjoy some of these events virtually!
School Group Tours
We welcome school field trips (on Monday mornings when the Garden is not open to the public) from late March, when the garden is first waking up, till season's end in October.
We teach youngsters about the transition from seed to flower, and about worms, composting, and soil.
Reservations required. Please contact the Garden: jeffersonmarketgarden.org@gmail.com
Senior Tour Groups
We also welcome organizations for Seniors on Monday afternoons (when the Garden is not open to the public) from late March, when the garden is first waking up, till season's end in October. We can offer history, garden or ecology tours. Reservations required. Please contact the Garden: jeffersonmarketgarden.org@gmail.com.
Free Summer Music in the Garden
During the Summer, weather permitting, free musical programs are offered to our visitors. Check our calendar for dates.
Wedding Ceremonies
Couples can join a growing list of New Yorkers that includes Miranda and Steve from 'Sex and the City' and take their vows on the garden's lush center lawn. We can accommodate up to 150 guests. If you are interested in planning such an event, please see our Wedding Page and contact our Wedding Coordinator.
